How To Structure Your Sales Copy Effectively To Boost Your Conversion Rates
By Jo Han Mok

Well-structured sales copy can be used to entice and effectively increase your conversion rates.

But just how do you create effective sales copy?

There is a formula that has worked for decades or even centuries, which can help in the writing of effective sales copy.

First step would be to: Grab Attention. This can be achieved by the use of a story or a shocking statement. Without the use of something to make people stop, look and pay attention to what you have to say, you don't have a chance to sell them.

Below are a few ways that will help in getting their attention: - State a surprising fact - Ask a question - Interrupt their thinking path - Quote a famous person - Call them by their name

Second step would be to: Create A Desire For Solution By Stating The Problem. Posing the possible problem to the reader can attain the desire for solution most effectively.

Knowing your readers will help in understanding their possible problems.

Answer the following question to see how well you know your potential and target audience. - What keeps them up at night? - What is their ache? - What is their interest? - What would they do to solve their ache? - How bad do they want to remove their ache? - How bad to they want to pursue their interest?

Third step would be to: Offer A Possible Solution. This part is self-explanatory as you simply propose your possible solution to the problem.

Some ways of getting this done would be: - Paint a mental image in the reader's mind of someone using your product or services. - Talk about someone's life actually getting better after using your product or services. - Give a demonstration of your product or services solving the problem.

Lastly would be to: Point Out Where And How To Get That Solution Or In Layman Terms, Ask For The Order. You can state the benefits of taking up your offered solution and the step-by-step instruction on how to acquire it.

Examples of doing this: - Give them an order form with step-by-step instructions. - Provide your contact information for ordering or further questions. - Tell them what someone did to get the solution, product or services.

There you have it, the four simple and basic steps on structuring your sales copy to make it work effectively on making your conversion rates better.

There are definitely more 'tricks' to better copywriting but these steps are fundamentals that just cannot be ignored.
